30th ICDE World Conference virtual attendance funding

To support equitable participation and foster reciprocal learning aligned with the 30th ICDE World Conference theme of ‘ako’—the mutual exchange of teaching and learning—ODLAA is offering funding to assist individuals wishing to attend the conference online.

This funding opportunity is intended to enable access for those who may otherwise face barriers to participation, including those from underrepresented communities, early-career professionals, and individuals engaged in open, flexible, or distance education across a range of sectors.

Eligibility criteria

  1. Nominations must be made by an ODLAA member or a person within an organisational membership. Non-members can submit a nomination and request an endorsement from an ODLAA executive member on the nomination form.
  2. Nominees do not need to be ODLAA members and self-nominations are accepted.

How to nominate

Applicants must demonstrate one or more of the following:

A commitment to the principles of accessibility, inclusivity, and sustainability in education.

  • A current or emerging contribution to open, online, or distance education practice or scholarship.
  • Financial need that would otherwise prevent participation.
  • An intention to share key learnings from the conference with their networks or institutions.

Applications are now open. Simply complete this nomination form before 5 pm on 31 July 2025. The form includes a short statement (up to 300 words) outlining how attending the conference aligns with your work and the impact it will have.

Successful applicants will be notified via email and asked to share a brief post-conference reflection to be featured on the ODLAA website or newsletter.
